The spanish company, Windtech is entering the acro scene with their new wing, the Loop. Info from Windtech's website:
We are releasing a revolutionary new freestyle paraglider which will satisfy the needs of even the most demanding acro pilot… the Loop 17.
This XXX-small glider is only 17 m2, but with an aspect ratio of 6.3 it's the highest A/R acro glider on the market - making it possible it to convert from one manoeuvre to another with loads of energy!!!
The leading edge is closed 50% to facilitate the glider surging forward even more violently, and so keep the canopy fully inflated, even when it's upside down. For the skilled and expert pilot, SATs, Inversions, Tumblings, Infinitys etc are well within the Loop's extensive repertoire.
No doubt about it, this is a radical product only for serious acro pilots. The look of this wing is unique and quite radical too,so people will admire it all the more!

Xandi and Bernd (Against The Grain) where flying acro with wings based on competition gliders, for about two years (Independence Raptor then Icaro Cidan). It didn't work very well, it was more difficult to handle, especially in helico maneuvers.
But still, it's not evident that a wing like this is doint Infinity for example. I don't understand, why the companies (not only Windtech) are talking about their wings like it's already doing perfect Infinity, however -probably- nobody tested them for the maneuver...marketing suxx! :-)
However, I'm looking forward to make a testflight with this wing, or hear some real reviews about it.
Why do they make such a high AR ACRO glider?
All the other companies are tend to make lower AR gliders for acro. Until now, the Bitch was the highest AR glider, but it isn't the best acro glider on the market. All the others have AR under 6!
